The hot, dry weather is increasing the risk for wildfires across Arkansas.

That's why several counties are under a burn ban.

Today, Pope County joined the list, along with Jefferson County, which issued a burn ban in effect until further notice or significant rain fall.

The following counties are also under burn bans: Columbia, Conway, Fulton, Garland, Lafayette, Polk, Searcy, Sharp, Van Buren, and White.

Click here to check the Arkansas Forestry Commission's (AFC) burn bans page.
