Brittney Johnson joined our news team in July 2010. She came to the Natural State from West Monroe, Louisiana. There, she worked as a general assignment reporter at KTVE/KARD, covering health, crime and corruption in the Ark-La-Miss.

Brittney graduated from Howard University with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism, then followed her passion for news all the way to UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism where she earned her master's degree.

Brittney loves people, loves the news and is thrilled to be in Arkansas! She has family all over the state and is looking foward to reporting stories that make a difference in the lives of Arkansans.

When she's not busy digging up stories, Brittney enjoys spending time with family and traveling the world. She's been to countries in Africa, Asia and Europe and is always planning her next excursion.

If you'd like to share a story idea or just say hello, email Brittney at bjohnson@kark.com.

Brittney -- Great reporting, but it's a shame they put all that visual clutter behind you. The teleprompter rolling in the background is very distracting. I find myself reading it instead of watching you.
