LR Marathon Has Special Meaning for Local Family

Runners take to the streets of Little Rock for the city's annual marathon on Saturday.

It's the 8th year for the event that brings thousands to downtown. Some of them will run while others will cheer them on from the sidelines.

For one local family, the race takes on special meaning.

Heath White has run the marathon a little differently since 2008. He pounds the pavement behind a stroller carrying his daughter Paisley, who was born with Down Syndrome in 2007.

This year they will do things a little differently.

In the past two marathons, Paisley (far left in photo below) has always stayed in the stroller, but now that she's walking, Dad is going to let her walk across the start line and the finish line on Sunday.
