If you have the itch to play the lottery in the early morning hours, you're out of luck at one convenience store chain.

All 42 EZ Mart stores across the state won't sell or cash in lottery tickets between midnight and 6 a.m.  Zone Manager Richard King says it's because they keep a minimum amount of cash on hand and don't have enough to cash in tickets for winners.  He says it's also a safety measure, to try and deter would-be robbers.

King says this gives him and his employees peace of mind.

King says this is the same policy they use at stores in Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma.

Stores statewide were unable to cash in tickets for about an hour Monday because of a computer glitch, but they were back up and running by late afternoon.
