The lottery begins a minute after midnight on Monday morning, but you probably didn't know that it will soon have a very important feature.  The lottery terminals across the state will have scrolling light screens.  They will display lottery jackpots and information about Morgan Nick Amber Alerts.

Intralot, the company that provides all the terminals to the convenience stores and other locations across the state, will send a message to each terminal.  The clerk will have to read the message in order to continue doing business, because the Morgan Nick Amber Alert will cause the terminal to become locked until the message is read.

Intralot does this in eleven states and all machines could receive the information about an alert within a few hours.
