The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery kicks off at midnight on September 28th with the sale of scratch-off tickets (see photos below).
The scratch-offs that will be sold include one $1 ticket titled "3 Times Lucky", two $2 tickets titled "Arkansas Riches" and "Jumbo Bucks", plus one $5 ticket titled "$100,000 Cash Bonanza".
The 26-million scratch-off tickets to be sold all across the state were delivered to a Little Rock distribution center last week.
Prizes for the first four games will range from $3,000 to $100,000, and 25-to-30-percent of the proceeds will go to scholarships.
Sixty (60)-percent of the lottery money goes to the prizes, while six-percent will go to retailers who will be selling the tickets.
Also last week, some of those retailers began training for their roles in the lottery's operation. Click here for that story.
Arkansans won't be able to buy Powerball tickets until October 31st. State lottery draw game tickets go on sale on December 14th.
