Set in the 24th century, 70 years after the original "Star Trek", "Star Trek: The Next Generation" features the adventures of the crew of starship Enterprise. The crew contacts and discovers many races during their space travel as a means of exploring the "human" condition. The show ran longer than any other "Star Trek" series, winning 18 Emmy Awards.
