KARK 4 Partners with World Renowned Geriatrician

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- July 22, 2009 -- KARK-TV and Dr. David Lipschitz, Executive Director of the Longevity Center at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, have teamed up to help KARK 4 News viewers navigate their way through the healthcare system and make informed decisions when it comes to their health.

Every Friday, starting July 24, 2009, the recognized and highly respected Dr. Lipschitz will produce a special report that will air exclusively on KARK 4 News at 5:00. The weekly segment, titled Health Matters with Dr. David, will tackle hot topics making news in the medical community and give viewers an insider's look at the healthcare system. Viewers will then be able to ask Dr. David questions about the topic either by phone or email.

KARK 4 News Director Rob Heverling is excited about the partnership and says, "KARK 4 is all about being Local and we know that healthcare is a major issue here in Arkansas, so being able to get the most respected and recognized doctor in Arkansas is a huge advantage for KARK 4."  Heverling went on to say, "There is so much value in what Dr. David brings to our newscast. In addition to the special reports on KARK 4 News at 5:00, Dr. David will appear live on KARK 4's Arkansas at Noon every Friday, directly targeting the 50+ audience and educating them on achieving lifelong health through proactive wellness management.
