8:45 a.m. - Quantum Of Solace Sets Box Office Record

 The new James Bond movie brought in a record 70-point-four-million-dollars in its opening weekend in North America.

"Quantum Of Solace" topped the previous record of 47-million-dollars for a Bond opening, which was held by 2002's "Die Another Day."

"Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" slipped to the number two spot with 36-point-one-million-dollars.

The comedy "Role Models" came in third with eleven-point-seven-million in ticket sales.

"High School Musical 3: Senior Year" and "Changeling" rounded out the top five.
