Batman beware! Yahoo! searches reveal that the “Joker” is the most popular costume choice this Halloween, with “Sarah Palin” ranking as the top searched political mask.

Like years passed, adults are taking costume cues from pop culture icons, varying from tame options like Tinkerbell and Red Riding Hood, to wilder choices like Playboy Bunnies and Catwoman.
 
Yahoo says while it can’t predict the outcome of the election, the search site can say with confidence the updo and high heels of a certain V.P. candidate are sure to make an appearance this Hallows Eve. Searches for “Sarah Palin costumes” are up over 100% over the last 30 days.
