7:20 a.m. - Boo at the Zoo Runs Through Friday in LR

 The Little Rock Zoo is hosting its 17th annual "Boo at the Zoo" all this week.

The event that attracts trick’r’treaters dressed as everything from ghouls to goblins to ghosts runs nightly from 6 - 9 through Friday, October 31.

Billed as Arkansas’ largest Halloween festival, BOO offers trick-or-treating in a safe environment and a variety of fun Halloween activities such as the Haunted House ($1); Fun House ($1); visit the midway and ride carnival rides ($1 to $4); ride the “Haunted Train ($2); visit the “little punkins’ play patch,” or enjoy a variety of foods being sold on the midway.

While costumes are optional, BOO will host a costume contest each evening at 7 p.m. on the stage of the Civitan Amphitheater with nightly prizes and an overall prize on Halloween night.

Members of the Zoo also can participate in BOO AT THE ZOO Members Night from 6-8 p.m. at Café Africa inside the Zoo.
Refreshments and special treats will be available for Zoo Member kids.

Advance sale tickets for BOO may be purchased for $4 per person at Metropolitan National Bank Branches, TruService Community Federal Credit Union, Dillard’s Federal Credit Union, and the Little Rock Zoo until October 23. Advance tickets may not be purchased by phone.

Tickets the days of the event are $4 for members and $5 for nonmembers.
