3:55 p.m. - Help for Arkansas Seniors to Protect Financial Interests

 Five State Agencies and Departments have partnered with AARP Arkansas to hold a series of town hall-style meetings around the state over the next two months.

The Attorney General’s office will join the State Insurance Department-SHIIP, DHS- Division of Aging and Adult Services, the Securities Department and State Bank Department to present these meetings for seniors.

Experts from the various offices will be making presentations and taking questions on bank safety and soundness, identity fraud, investment fraud, reverse mortgages, insurance fraud and Medicare.

All meetings will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

Advanced registration is required. Register early for any of these events by calling toll-free 1-877-926-8300. Registration deadlines apply.

Dates and locations are as follows:

October 7- Jones Center, Springdale

October 13 - Coronado Center, Hot Springs Village

October 23 - First Baptist Church, Mountain Home

November 6 - St. Bernard’s Auditorium, Jonesboro

November 13 - U of A Community College, Hope

November 17 - U of A at Monticello, Monticello
