Singer Janet Jackson is hospitalized in Canada this morning after becoming ill before a concert.

A public relations firm has released a statement saying the 42-year-old pop star fell ill in Montreal Monday during a sound check and had to be rushed to the hospital.

There's no word this morning on her condition, but she's being monitored and hopes to reschedule the concert according to the statement.

Jackson is currently on a tour of North America.
