Many churches claim that sacred scripture is their foundation, but for one congregation in North Little Rock that's literally true.

Sunday afternoon members of Saint Luke's Missionary Baptist Church spent time writing biblical scripture on the floor of their new facility.

"We also had prayer here and different things in the sanctuary and gave them a chance to take ownership of the building by writing some scriptture in the floor before the tile or the carpet is down," said Senior Pastor Eric Alexander.

Saint Luke's was established way back in 1873.

The congregation will move into it's new home in November.
