Former Razorback Campbell-Brown Earns Bronze in 100m Finals

Former sprint national champion and four-time All-American while at the University of Arkansas, Veronica Campbell-Brown took a bronze medal Saturday in the finals of the women's 100m at the 2012 Olympics.

Campbell-Brown, who is representing Jamaica, ran the race in a time of 10.81 seconds.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica defeated the USA's Carmelita Jeter to take the gold.

Campbell-Brown became the first Razorback women's Olympic gold medalist in school history at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. She was a winner at 200 meters and was also a member of Jamaica's gold medal-winning 4x100-meter relay team.
