New LR Broadway Season to be Announced this Morning

Four touring Broadway productions are coming to Little Rock over the next year.

The 2013-2014 Broadway Season at the Robinson Center Music Hall was announced today by Celebrity Attractions.

On the bill are the following shows:

WICKED: September 25 - October 6
Back by "Popular" demand! Entertainment Weekly calls WICKED "the best musical of the decade," and when it first played in Little Rock, it broke box office records and sold out in record time. Winner of 35 major awards, including a Grammy and three Tony Awards, WICKED is Broadway's biggest blockbuster, a cultural phenomenon and was just named "the defining musical of the decade" by The New York Times.

Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: December 3-5
The most beautiful love story ever told is returning to Little Rock! Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, this eye-popping spectacle has won the hearts of over 35 million people worldwide. This classic musical love story is filled with unforgettable characters, lavish sets and costumes, and dazzling production numbers including "Be Our Guest" and the beloved title song. Experience the romance and enchantment of Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!

HELLO, DOLLY!: January 14-16, 2014
Winner of 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical, HELLO, DOLLY! is one of the most enduring Broadway classics. Emmy- award winning Sally Struthers (All In the Family, Gilmore Girls) stars as the strong-willed matchmaker Dolly, as she travels to Yonkers, NY to find a match for the ornery "well-known unmarried half-a-millionaire" Horace Vandergelder. The announcement will come this morning at 10:30. We're being told there is a big blockbuster coming. Also there are still tickets available for "100 Years of Broadway." It runs tonight through Thursday.
