DCC Parolees Could be Moving to Pine Bluff Halfway Houses

Despite objections from city leaders, parolees with the Department of Community Corrections (DCC) could be moving into halfway houses in Pine Bluff.
The Arkansas Supreme Court has ruled that the department does not have to follow local zoning ordinances and is immune from being sued.
The City of Pine Bluff had sued DCC when the plans for the halfway houses were announced, saying the changes didn't meet zoning requirements.
