Update: North Little Rock Electric Down to 100 Outages

"NLRED has restored power to more than 19,000 customers since the Christmas winter storm began, using multiple crews and contractors. Power has been restored to over 99% of NLRED's customers as of 4 p.m. Saturday. While we are in the final phase of the power restoration process, it has proven time-consuming. The damage to infrastructure has required tree trimming, extensive removal of large mature trees and the rebuilding of utility poles and power lines. Crews will continue to work to restore power as quickly as possible.

Home owners who have had their service loop to their home damaged need to contact an electrician to make repairs before NLRED can restore power. NLRED asked that customers leave their porch lights on so crews can quickly determine if power is restored and make sure backyard gates can be easily accessed to repair damage.

North Little Rock Electric says its now down to just 100 outages.

Crews continue to make progress on restoring power.

Overnight, the following streets have had power restored: Lynch Rd, Graham, Lakeshore, Hazelwood, Oak Tree Circle, Royal Oak Dr., Valley Brook Dr., Burrow, Cornwallis, Heritage Park Circle, Lagrue, Campden Hill Rd, Knights Bridge Rd., 600 block of W 17th and W 18th, Skyline, Corral, 1300 block of 8th St., Silver City Courts Apartments, Chandler, Marion, Allen, W. Beverly, Devon, & Brilerly.

Friday, 5:00 p.m. Update:
North Little Rock Electric Department (NLRED) crews continue to make progress restoring power to customers.

Power has been restored to over 99% of NLRED's customers as of 4 p.m. Friday.

All NLRED customers that can receive power should have power restored this weekend. Currently, 200 customers are in the dark.

Friday, 3:30 p.m. Update:
North Little Rock Electric Crews continue to make progress, several more areas now have power: Overbrook (Randolph, Crestwood, Mill Creek, Beresford), Overbrook Apartments, Silver City Courts Apartments, Walnut, J Circle, Baker Circle, & Idaho.

According to North Little Rock Electric, only 500 customers remain without power.

The agency has restored power to more than 10,000 customers following the winter storms on Christmas Day.

Overnight, power was restored to the following areas:

Park Hill Area: Sheridan, Plateau, Belmont (all but 3), Skyline (1 out still), Dexter, Starfield, Delmar, Perin (4 still out)

Kierre Rd Area: Allwood, Kierre Rd. (4 still out), Cobblestone, Valley Creek, Clay Cut Circle, Cottage Court (4 still out)

All of Lakeview Rd. should be up.

Woodbine (Even # houses on, odd # houses require an additional construction crew)

Peach Tree (Odd # houses on )
