Update (5:00 p.m.):
A Little Rock man has been cited for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, use of force, and assault on a bus driver following a disturbance on a city bus.

It happened shortly before 10 o'clock this morning at 7tth & Woodrow streets.

Police say bus driver Shirley Bryant, 47, of North Little Rock, told officers that a man later identified as Jon Thomas Smith, 27, of Little Rock, had started trouble after boarding the bus, when he at first refused to pay before finally paying his fare and taking a seat.

Minutes later, Bryant said Smith came to the front of the bus swearing at her. When she feared the man would hit her, the driver pushed him back and two other passengers held him down while she called for help on the radio.

When the other passengers forced Smith off the bus, they told police he then began taking off his clothes and approached a car waiting at a stoplight, banging his head against the vehicle's mirror.

The first officers on the scene said Smith kept staring away and talking incoherently. When he kept trying to remove his clothes, they suspected he was high on PCP.

After Smith resisted arrest, officers used a taser on him three times before he was finally placed in handcuffs and taken to the hospital.
