Update: Arkansas Deer Hunters Bag More than 176,000 This Season

Update (November 30):
It's been a very successful season for Arkansas deer hunters.

Since September 1st, they've bagged a total of 176,885 deer.

Those numbers break down this way:
  • Antlered       86,988
  • Doe             79,439
  • Button Buck 10,458
The 2012 modern gun deer season ends Sunday. A Christmas holiday deer hunt is December 26 - 28, and archery deer season continues until February 28.

The Arkansas deer harvest for the 2012 modern gun season tops 25-thousand for the opening weekend.

As of early today, there have been more than 16-thousand bucks brought in by hunters, more than 8-thousand does, and more than 17-hundred button bucks.

The Arkansas 2012 modern gun season continues into December.
