Encyclopedia of Arkansas Website Brings State's History and Culture Together

The Encyclopedia of Arkansas is using the internet to bring the state's history and culture together.
The online project is part of the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies and the Central Arkansas Library System, located in Little Rock's River Market area.
Kathryn Heller is the programming and outreach coordinator for the Butler Center. She appeared on Arkansas Today with Mallory Hardin to tell viewers what the Encyclopedia of Arkansas is all about.
The website is comprised of articles on the people, places and events in Arkansas's past.
One of the highlights they discussed is the website's ever-changing "Photo of the Day" (click here).
They also put the spotlight on an article about Lucille Babcock, who once had a children's program on KARK back in its early days.
Heller also explained how anyone can get involved with the project by submitting articles or just sharing memories about the people, places and events profiled on the Encyclopedia of Arkansas website.
