NLR Police: Man Killed in One-Car Crash May Have Been Texting & Driving

North Little Rock Police say a man killed in a one-car crash may have been texting and driving.

The accident happened Tuesday night just before 10 o'clock in the 9000 Block of Batesville Pike.

Police say Joe Smith, 23, of Sherwood, was behind the wheel of a Chevy Cavalier that crossed the center line and hit a tree.

Smith who was not wearing a seat belt, according to the police report, was pronounced dead at the scene.
