Financial Belt-Tightening at The Arkansas Arts Center

A $6 million budget has been passed for the Arkansas Arts Center

Two positions have been eliminate, they are the Associate Director of Major Gifts and the Deputy Director of Programs and Education.

Senior staff salaries were also cut by ten percent.

Plans for the next year include the exhibition Rembrandt, Gainsborough, Van Dyck: The Treasures of Kenwood House, London.
 
It is slated  for June 7 through September 8, 2013. 

 Sponsorships totaling $325,000 have already been raised to underwrite the cost of that exhibition and are included in the 2012-13 budget.
