A Faulkner County Sheriff's Deputy is out of his job as he faces accusations of domestic abuse.

Lt. Billy McCoy has resigned from the sheriff's office.

He'd been on leave as the department investigates claims he hurt his daughter.

But Lt. McCoy gave up his post after admitting his actions were unprofessional.

Deputies are looking to see if anything criminal, in fact, occurred.
