Romney Projected GOP Candidate for 2012 Presidential Election

It's semi-official, Mitt Romney is now the projected winner of enough delegates to win the Republican presidential nomination.
He now has more than the 1,144 delegates needed to clinch the nomination.
The candidate released a statement Tuesday saying, in part, that he's "humbled" to win the delegates needed.
The contest effectively ended in April when Rick Santorum ended his challenge to Romney, and the former Massachusetts governor has campaigned since then in the role of presumptive nominee.

Facebook Stock Still Falling

Facebook stock continues to fall, closing below $30 a share for the first time on Tuesday.
At $28.84 the stock was down more than 9% for the day and 24% from the initial public offering price, a new low.
It's been less than two weeks since Facebook started trading publicly on the NASDAQ and the numbers have been in a steady downward spiral ever since.
With this latest drop, Facebook's value has gone from $104 billion to about $80 billion.

National Spelling Bee Prelims Wednesday

Wednesday, preliminary events for the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. will begin.
This year's competition includes 278 spellers from all 50 states, U.S. dependencies and even overseas, from countries such as China, New Zealand, and Japan.
The finals and semifinals will be televised Thursday.
Sixth grader Trevor Paulsen from Harrisburg Middle School will be representing Arkansas.

Comments

Two Words: Ron Paul - He did NOT drop out. - Romney has secured nothing; only about half of the delegates have actually been selected at district and state conventions across the country, despite what the news is trying to make people believe. -Ron Paul is winning the majority of these delegates in some states. -In the real delegate count, Ron Paul is neck-and-neck with Romney. Thats the real story folks. The fraud perpetrated on the American people by false reporting is astounding. By dismissing and lying about the one candidate that stands for the people, voters are disenfranchised.
