Updated: April 25, 2012

Arkansas State head women's basketball coach Brian Boyer announced Monday that assistant coach Jennifer Sullivan has resigned from her position on the ASU women's basketball staff.

Sullivan, a member of the ASU women's basketball staff for the past three seasons, will continue her career as Associate Head Coach at Louisiana-Lafayette.

"I really appreciate Jennifer and all she has done for our program, and for mepersonally," said Boyer. "From the day I hired Jennifer I have said that she is on track to be a star in this business and that she is going to move up quickly in the coaching ranks. The opportunity for her to advance into an Associate Head Coaching position was the next step for her, and an opportunity she could not pass up. Our program will benefit from Jennifer's efforts over the next couple of years, as we have brought in a very strong recruiting class and she was the driving force in this class."

"Change is never easy initially for a program, but it does bring opportunities," added Boyer. "As in past years, this job opening will draw a lot of interest and I am excited about working through the hiring process to find the best fit for our program."

A search will begin immediately to replace Sullivan on the ASU staff.
