Army National Guard Master Sergeant Vince Sherrill "Big Sarge" brings you his Arkansas Fishing Forecast weekly on the Arkansas Sports Nation.
"Big Sarge" is a member of the Army National Guard's professional bass angling team. He works as a force development non-commissioned officer at Camp Robinson in North Little Rock.
Sherrill travels all around Arkansas with one of the most widely recognized boats on the local bass fishing circuit. It's emblazoned with the digital camouflage pattern of the Army Combat Uniform, and advertises for the Arkansas National Guard.
Sherrill, who's served more than 20 years in the military, fished competitively in amateur events for years before joining the National Guard team. When he had '1-800 G0-Guard' decals put on his boat, he said, his fishing career "took off."
