On Saturday, the Irish Cultural Society of Arkansas sponsors its 14th annual Rock to North Little Rock St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Celtic folksinger Peg Loyd shares details with Mallory Brooks.

PARADE DETAILS:
The parade starts at 1 p.m. Saturday a block behind Dugan's Pub at the intersection of Rock and East Fourth streets in downtown Little Rock before passing through the River Market, over the Main Street Bridge, into Argenta (and right past Cregeen's Irish Pub) and ending at the corner of Sixth and North Main streets.

The parade includes headliners such as Celtic punk rock band Dead Celt Society, the Lyon College Pipe Band, the Prince Street Bagpipe Band, Peg Roach Loyd, the McCafferty School of Irish Dance, the O'Donovan School of Irish Dance and Reflejos Mexicanos Ballet Folklorico.

Throw in clowns, antique cars, decorative floats and much more.

The parade ends around 2 p.m., and Dancing at the Crossroads kicks off at Fourth and Main streets in North Little Rock. The event, which ends at 4 p.m., includes live music and traditional Irish dance performances. The parade and events are free, but parade participants and spectators are asked to bring at least one canned or nonperishable food item that will be donated to the Arkansas Rice Depot.
