Autism Awareness Design Contest

Hello Kim. There are lots of organizations out there that ask for donations, and I'm not sure what kind of experience you've had with any/all of them, but the AAROC does help families in Arkansas every day (and with very little money). We are a local state-based non-profit, and our mission is to help families in Arkansas access the care their child needs. We work with families on insurance/Medicaid issues, special education issues, and issues that arise as a child transitions to adulthood. We do raise money to support our organization, but every dime raised stays in Arkansas and goes to help Arkansas families find the resources they need. We also sponsor family fun days (like AAROC Zoo Day), where we sponsor activities that are free for our families. The license plate contest is free to enter and doesn't require a donation at all. Rather than petitioning for a license plate with our logo on it, our organization wanted to give people in Arkansas the opportunity to submit their own designs for an autism awareness plate and choose from the designs that are submitted.
