Entergy Responds To Mounting Criticism

Only 100 baseload contractors were brought in ahead of Tuesday's storm, he said.

Compared to the 5,000 being used as of Friday evening.

"Given the facts we knew at the time we thought we had plenty of resources available," McDonald said.

Customers undoubtedly angry, having to face major difficulties weathering this aftermath.

"As you would expect after the third day going into 4th night without power," McDonald said. "Our customers are getting upset and impatient."

Many have asked the company to explain how exactly restoration is being prioritized.

"First you have major emergency facilities, hospitals, fire, water, police, those get restored first," he said.

Entergy saying crews are doing everything they can.

Restoration is said to be sporadic the next few days with the most remote, and most difficult areas to access, possibly being out up to seven days.
