Texarkana Schools Superintendent Retiring after 38 Years with District

The superintendent of the Texarkana School District has announced his retirement at the end of the school year.

Russell Sapaugh has worked in the school district for 38 years, serving as superintendent for nearly five years.
 
During his tenure, Sapaugh developed a partnership with the University of Arkansas Community College in Hope. 
 
The district has hired an outside research firm to look for Sapaugh's replacement.
