And when tragedy struck, this teacher said it inspired him to lend a helping hand.

"We just thought what could we do for Nick and the baby," said Coach Tye Roberts.

In August Coach Roberts got the news his childhood friend, from his hometown Berryville, was delivered a tragic blow when his young wife died of a brain aneurism during childbirth.

"That's the one thing that tore me up was his baby's birthday is always going to be the same day his wife passed away," Roberts said.

The reality shook Roberts who imagined his friend, just 21-years-old, faced with a new baby and nearly insurmountable hospital costs.

"Also you have to pay for a funeral as well," said Roberts.

So he and his students came up with the idea of 'Hogs Backing Hogs'.

A silent auction of sports memorabilia held during the tailgate of the Arkansas and LSU game next Saturday.

"The kids were really quick to volunteer," said Roberts. "You know I have this signed or my dad has this, so they're going home and asking for things to donate. Especially with the season like we've had this would be awesome to get together and tailgate for a good cause."

Where all the money raised goes directly to Nick and his new baby.

"Nick still needs our thoughts and prayers," he said. "He and his little baby Trennon.

This type of fatal aneurism doctors said is extremely rare for someone so young.
