Update: Pine Bluff Woman Formally Charged with Capital Murder in Workplace Shooting Death

Update (September 11):

Lillie Foots-Wilson has been formally charged with capital murder in the July shooting death of Latange Long.

That's according to Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney Kyle Hunter

Her next court appearance is October 3rd.

Update (July 24, 10:30 a.m.):


Lillie Foots-Wilson will face capital murder charges in the shooting death of Latange Long.

She is being held without bond and will appear in court for an arraignment on August 4th.

Update (July 23, 2:15 p.m.):

A family member who spoke with KARK 4 News at the shooting scene has identified the victim as Latange Long, 43.

Police say she suffered at least one gunshot wound to the upper body and died at the scene.

Sources say it looks like the reason behind the shooting had something to do with work issues.

Long and her accused killer had both worked at the plant for a long time, police said.

Original story (July 23, 11:00 a.m.):

Pine Bluff Police are on the scene of a workplace shooting that has left one woman dead.

Police say the victim was shot by another woman who was apprehended at the scene without incident. The woman in custody has been identified as Lillie Foots-Wilson, 43. She faces a first degree murder charge and is being held at the Jefferson County Jail.

The victim's name has not yet been released.

It happened just before 10:30 this morning at Central Moloney, Inc.'s Components Division at 5500 Jefferson Parkway, according to the Jefferson County Office of Emergency Management.

That address is located between Dollarway Road and Industrial Drive in northwest Pine Bluff almost to White Hall.

The company website says it supplies distribution transformers to utilities all over the world. Seventy-five people are employed at the plant that was the scene of the shooting.

Company officials tell KARK 4 News that both the suspect and victim have worked there for years.

On 07-23-12 at approximately 10:25 a.m.  Officers of the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to 5500 Jefferson Parkway (Central Maloney) in reference to a shooting.  Upon the officers' arrival, the scene was secured and the victim was identified as Latange Long, 43 y.o.a., b/f of Pine Bluff, AR.  The victim was unresponsive and appeared to have at least one gunshot wound to the upper body.

Jefferson County Coroner, Chad Kelly pronounced Ms. Long dead at the scene.  Ms. Long's remains will be transported to the State Crime Lab for autopsy.


The suspect, Lillie Foots-Wilson, 43 y.o.a. b/f of Pine Bluff, AR. was apprehended on scene without incident.  The suspect was transported to the Jefferson County Jail where she is being held for Probable Cause 1st Degree Murder.  Details surrounding this incident are currently under investigation by the Pine Bluff Police Department Detective Division.
