Welcome to
ArkansasMatters.com’s “My Interactive Radar”. Our Interactive Radar is one of the
most advanced online radar tools available and it allows you to take the
controls.
When the radar loads you will be able to use the options at the top of the page and to the left of the page to turn the radar features on and off. Double click on the map to zoom down to any location. Please scroll down for the User Guide; this will provide detailed information for each of the available radar features.
– Click this
button to Animate Radar. This will show you the path of the rainfall in the
past 1 hour.
– Use this scale on the
top left side of the radar to zoom in or out. You
can click on the fast buttons within this scale for “Street”, “City”, “Country”
and “World”. Another way to control the zoom is
to place your cursor on the map image and click your left mouse button to the
location you want to zoom into. You can use your wheel on your mouse to zoom
back out.
– Scroll over this
button to view different types of topographic maps to view: Map, Satellite and
Terrain. Coming Soon… 3D
– Scroll over
this button to type in your Address, City or Zip Code. This feature will make the map zoom to your
location.
– Turn this
feature on by clicking on this tab. When
this feature is on, you can click anywhere on the map to receive a 5 day forecast
for that region. You can even zoom down
to your house and then click to turn this feature on and then click on your
house. You will see a personalized 5 Day
Forecast for your neighborhood.
– Scroll over
this button to view the different types of Weather Data you can display on the
map: Radar, Current Conditions, Watches & Warnings, Global Lightning and
Buoy Ship Data. It may take up to 20
seconds for new weather data to load, please be patient.
– Scroll over
this button to view the different types of Hurricane Data you can display on
the map: Recon Data, Wind Radii, Forecast and Past Tracks and Forecast
Models. When a Hurricane is forecast
