Reported by: Newsroom Solutions Wednesday, Nov 4, 2009 @07:35am CST It's not an Olympic event, but maybe it should be after a team from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware launched a pumpkin more than 46-hundred feet at a festival in southern Utah.
The team used a 90-foot, compressed-air cannon, hoping the high elevation and thin air would help them set a world record. They did, breaking the old mark by about 130 feet. They're awaiting verification by the "Guinness Book of World Records." |
