Tuesday, Oct 27, 2009 @08:28am CDT While reported vehicle theft is at a 20-year low in the U.S., it's little consolation to the Prince Hall Shriners in Atlanta.
Earlier this month thieves broke into the Nabbar Temple's storage facility and stole seven of the Shriners mini-cars worth about $2,000 each. The thieves also took a dune buggy, an air compressor and a tool box. The miniature cars are often driven in parades. With holiday parades approaching, the Prince Hall Shriners are now wondering how they'll be able to put smiles on kid's faces without their mini-four-wheelers. |
