  • Moose on the Loose
    Reported by: Newsroom Solutions

    Thursday, Oct 15, 2009 @09:45am CDT

Hotel managers at Mainstay Suites in Fargo, North Dakota had to remove an unwanted guest with a tranquilizer gun.

According to the "Minneapolis Star Tribune, the visitor without a reservation was a moose that wandered into the courtyard of the hotel.

After more than four hours of eating grass and leaves, police finally arrived and shot the moose in the backside with a tranquilizer gun.

The animal was then picked up with a front-end loader and removed from the hotel courtyard. Police say the moose will be released back into the wild.
