Thursday, Nov 26, 2009 @09:20am CST A pair of heavy hitters have been tapped to speak at the first-ever Tea Party Convention next year.
According to the National Tea Party Convention website, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has been booked as the keynote speaker for the February event. Also speaking at the convention will be prominent Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann of Minnesota. Bachmann has been a prominent supporter of the conservative Tea Party movement. Organizers say the National Tea Party Convention is being held for the, quote, "purpose of networking and supporting the movements' multiple organizations principle goals."
