20 kids in Pulaski County will spend the night in brand new homes. In honor of National Adoption Month, several families officially began the adoption process on Friday at the Pulaski County Juvenile Justice Complex.
 Margie Bracken adopted 2 children. She says the process was well worth it, and it didn't cost her a dime.

"Once you have them placed in your home, you have kind of a trial period of 6 months, and it's good for both sides. It's good for the child to figure out if they want to be with you, and to figure out if they're going to work in your family unit," said Margie.

Also at the event, balloons were released for each child in Pulaski County that still needs a home. There are 300 children of all ages in Arkansas waiting for a forever home.
