Reported by: KARK 4 News Thursday, Nov 19, 2009 @08:50pm CST A Grant County woman is recovering after being shot in the thigh with a rifle while out hunting with her husband.
It happened Thursday night just south of Sheridan. Investigators say Marion Wilson, 70, told them he thought he was shooting at a deer; but instead it turned out to be his wife Mae Wilson, 68. She was airlifted to a Little Rock hospital where investigators say she is expected to recover. The shooting was ruled accidental and no charges will be filed. Deputies say this is an accident that happens way too often during hunting season. |
