The New York Yankees take the field tonight in Game Six of the World Series, attempting to clinch their record 27th World Series title.
Standing in their way is the defending champion Philadelphia Phillies.
New York leads the best-of-seven set three-games-to-two.
The Yankees send Andy Pettitte to the mound; the Phillies place their fortunes in the throwing arm of veteran Pedro Martinez.
Should Philadelphia win tonight, a decisive Game Seven will be scheduled for tomorrow night at Yankee Stadium. -
