Reported by: Newsroom Solutions Thursday, Oct 29, 2009 @07:30am CDT House Democrats are expected to unveil a sweeping healthcare reform bill today.
It's believed they'll submit it to the full House for debate as early as next week. The measure would include a government-run insurance option. It would use reimbursement rates negotiated with healthcare providers, rather than lower rates pegged to Medicare. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was unable to find the 218 votes needed to pass a more robust public option that would compete with private health insurers. |
