Reported by: NBC News Thursday, Oct 22, 2009 @04:39pm CDT People may be pinching pennies these days, but when it comes to cosmetic procedures, doctors aren't hurting.
And, now with a new invention, patients are hurting much less too. A small canister that sits right above the needle is filled with what's called vapo-coolant. It replicates the effect of ice. It's rapid cooling. The effect lasts only a few seconds, but patients say it's long enough. One model fits on the syringes of popular neurotoxins and fillers. But, there's even bigger plans. "Eventually for pediatric iv's, pediatric immunizations, epidural, catheter placement for pregnant women." To learn more about it, click here. |
