Reported by: Courtesy: Newsroom Solutions, LLC Tuesday, Sep 1, 2009 @07:36am CDT (Chicago, IL) -- A Chicago man is suing Denny's restaurants for using too much salt. Jason Ciszewski filed the deceptive practices lawsuit against Denny's Corporation on Friday in U.S. District Court in Cook County, Illinois. According to the suit, Ciszewski frequently ate meals at Denny's that contained far more than the daily-recommended sodium intake of 15-hundred milligrams. The filing specifically mentions the 56-hundred-milligrams in the "Meat Lover's Scramble," which Ciszewski says he ate often. Ciszewski claims he was unaware the food was so salty. High levels of sodium can lead to increased heart disease and stroke, particularly in people like Ciszewski, who have high blood pressure. |
