Reported by: Courtney Collins, KARK 4 News Saturday, Aug 22, 2009 @04:15pm CDT To raise money for charity, one group decided to capitalize on a combination that some people find irresistible. The pairing of bikes and boobs brought more than 300 people to the River Market Pavillion today. The second annual "Bikers for Boobs" poker run raised nearly $5,000 for CARTI’s breast cancer program. After a motorcycle ride this morning, bikers spent the afternoon playing poker and enjoying free food and music while sharing their own experiences with breast cancer. "Meeting all the people for one that love to do what you love to do and this gives them a chance to ride and donate to a good cause and listening to everyone’s stories,” says Gina Andrews, coordinator for “Bikers for Boobs.” Click here for more information about “Bikers for Boobs”. |
