Reported by: RNS Newsroom Solutions Friday, Jul 17, 2009 @07:45am CDT Pope Benedict the 16th is now sporting a cast on his right wrist.
The 82-year-old broke his wrist after slipping in the bath this morning and went to a hospital in the Italian city of Asota. Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi says it's nothing serious, and the Pontiff just went to get everything checked out. The Pope is vacationing in northern Italy. The Vatican says before he stopped off to see the doctors, he celebrated Mass and had breakfast. ![]() |
