With this latest round of winter weather, how do you feel about the snow we've been getting?
I don't like it at all.
It's nice, but I'm ready for Spring.
I love it! Bring on more snow!

  • Arkansas Lottery Sales Top $70 Million
    Reported by: KARK 4 News

    Monday, Nov 16, 2009 @09:45am CST

It appears more and more Arkansans are taking time to play the lottery.

The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) announced record weekly sales of lottery tickets since the launch on September 28.

Sales from November 9 at 12:01 a.m. to November 15 at midnight totaled $10,894,045.

Both instant ticket and Powerball revenue continued strong, as the scratch tickets accounted for $9,574,543 and the Powerball sales equaled $1,319,502, yielding average sales per day of more than $1,425,000.

The ASL game offerings currently are limited to the twelve instant ticket games and Powerball.

“In just seven short weeks we have generated almost $70 million in lottery sales,” said Ernie Passailaigue, Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Executive Director. “We are excited for the thousands of Arkansas students who will be the beneficiaries of the lottery scholarships next fall.”

The purpose of the ASL is to provide scholarships and grants to Arkansas residents enrolled in public and private nonprofit two-year and four-year colleges and universities within the state.
