Reported by: KARK 4 News Monday, Nov 2, 2009 @11:15am CST The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery's sales numbers continue to rise like a lottery jackpot, and Arkansans are 30-million-dollars richer since it started just more than one month ago.
Going back to the lottery's first day on September 28 to November 1, instant games sales added up to $48,397,446. Prize payouts for the time period were $30,641,649. Over the week that ended at midnight November 1, sales for instant (scratch-off) games totaled $9,436,523. Prize payouts amounted to $5,796,297. As for Powerball ticket sales, from kick-off Saturday night until 8:30 this morning, they totaled $179,723. The first drawing for Powerball tickets sold in Arkansas is Wednesday, November 4, at 9:59 p.m., only on KARK 4. |
