Reported by: RNS Newsroom Solutions Monday, Apr 27, 2009 @07:40am CDT Van Buren County has had its share of natural and economic disasters over the past year. Five times in 2008, the county was declared a federal disaster area because of tornadoes, flooding and storms. Then its largest employer, Pilgrim's Pride, closed its processing plant, putting more than 300 people out of work. However, the city of Clinton is now recycling contaminated water used in natural-gas drilling, and revenue streams appear sure to follow. |
