Reported by: KARK 4 News Monday, Mar 23, 2009 @02:45pm CDT A Mena man accused of sexual attacks on two animals goes to trial on Tuesday.
John R. Coppes, 26, is charged with bestiality involving a dog and horse. The Polk County Sheriff's Office says Coppes was arrested back in December after a teenaged girl reported the incidents on her family's property. According to the report, Coppes first attempted sex with the family's dog in the yard of their Mena home. Minutes later, Coppes is accused of trespassing into a horse pasture and attempting sex with the horse kept inside the pen. When deputies arrived, they say Coppes was still inside the horse pen, and after his arrest, a bottle of "astroglide lube" was found in his possession. Coppes is charged with two counts of bestiality, public sexual indecency, and trespassing. |
